Lesley Farrell is an artist, curator and co-founder of curatorial collective CommonAs. She is currently Curator of Exhibitions at the National Centre for Craft and Design in Sleaford. She has worked for many contemporary art galleries and organisations, including Focal Point Gallery in Southend-on-Sea, where she was Director from 1998 - 2008. In 2015 she co-founded CommonAs. CommonAs work with artistic practitioners to develop new creative work around institutions with compelling social history. Recent partnership projects have included 'A Ballad for Southwell' with musician Chris T-T and the National Trust at The Workhouse, Southwell, 'Us, A Gunby Estate Domesday', with artist Michael Sanders, and 'Pioneer', both in partnership with the National Trust at Gunby Hall and Gardens in Lincolnshire.
